Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 - Sunday, June 8th 2025
The Winds have been accepted to perform at the ACB Convention (Music on the Frontier) in the Fort Smith City Center Grand Ballroom on Thursday, 6/5/2025 at 8:00pm. We are scheduled for a sound check at 5:45pm on that date. Our concert should last around 45 minutes followed by a cash bar reception in the Holidome. All the concerts for the week are free admission and open to the public, so feel free to drive down and listen to any of the other performing groups.

5:00pm - Personal Warmup in Belle Starr
5:45pm - Sound check in Grand Ballroom
7:00pm - Group Warmup in Belle Starr
8:00pm - Concert in Grand Ballroom
9:00pm - Cash bar / pasta bar reception in Holidome

For those interested in attending the convention in addition to our performance, this link contains the convention schedule. https://sites.google.com/view/acb2025/schedule. If you would like to attend any events other than the concerts and vendor area, then you must have an individual ACB membership to register for the convention. On the registration site, there is a member link and non-member link. The non-member link provides an option to register for an individual ACB membership after you enter your email address. Additionally, we are allowed to send 4 band members to the convention without an ACB membership, but they will have to pay for the convention. Also, we will receive the convention hotel discount for Thursday night after the concert if you don't want to drive back that evening.

Formal all black Ladies: Black dresses or pants suits Gents: Black long sleeve shirt, pants, long or bow tie Our activities are in the Convention Center, they are ***not*** in the ARCBest Performing Arts Center As members of a performing band, we are allowed to visit the vendor area. You may want to wear your Winds shirt to help identify you as a performing band. Reception after the concert with a cash bar and pasta bar. The pasta bar will be free for members of the band but will cost $25.00 for guests who are not members of the band It is not likely you will be able to eat between 5:00 and the end of the concert, so plan accordingly to eat before and be on time for the soundcheck. |
