Due to the weather and condition of the roads, tonight's rehearsal will be cancelled. Please make sure you're practicing on your own to maintain your breath support and lip strength. From this week we will have 3 rehearsals and a dress rehearsal before the March 1st concert.

Due to the ice and record breaking cold temperatures, rehearsal is cancelled for January 6, 2014.

On Saturday, December 14th, from noon to 8pm, members of the band will be performing in small ensembles at the Barnes and Noble book store in Fayetteville. This event is a fund raiser for the band. Barnes and Noble will donate a percentage of the price of books bought that day to the Arkansas Winds Community Concert Band -- just present a copy of the flyer to the store clerk when you make your purchase, and the clerk will enter the book fair number with your purchase. Flyers will also be handed out while the band is playing. The donation comes out of Barnes and Noble's profits and is of no cost to you! Its one of the ways Barnes and Noble suppororts non-profit organizations in the community.

Come by to hear us play, find great gifts for family and friends, and support the Band!

The book fair is a national event! Share this story to your friends. Present the flyer at any Barnes and Noble store or use it on-line anytime between December 14 and 19th and Barnes and Noble will make a donation to the Winds in proportion to the amount of your purchase.

We've rescheduled our Christmas Concert! If the snow hasn't put you in the mood for the holidays yet, we will! Join the Arkansas Winds as we celebrate the sounds of the season. The Band will perform their Christmas concert, titled Holiday Harmonies, at 7:30pm on Monday December 16th at the Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. Admission is free.

Because of danagerous road conditions, the Christmas Concert at the ACO has been cancelled. We are investigating alterantive dates and venues for the concert. Check back for details.

Get ready for the holidays! Join the Arkansas Winds as we celebrate the sounds of the season. The Band will perform their Christmas concert, titled Holiday Harmonies, at 3:00pm December 8th at the Arts Center of the Ozarks in Springdale. Admission is free.

The Winds resume regular rehearsal on Monday, October 28th, in the Farmington High School band room. Directions can be found here. This is our Silver Jubilee -- the Winds have been performing for 25 years!

For the third year in a row, the Winds will play an outdoor concert at Orchard Park in Bentonville just before the fireworks show! The concert begins at 8:30 pm and will be followed immediately by the rockets going off.

The Arkasnas Winds will be kicking off the summer free concert series at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks with a patriotic performance on the Great Lawn on Tuesday June 24, 2013 at 7:00 pm. Bring your picnic blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy this concert among the flowers. Rain date is Wednesday June 25th.
