The Arkansas Winds Community Concert Band is a non-profit, tax-exempt, all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing concerts to the Northwest Arkansas community and to providing a place for musicians to enhance their musical skills.

Arkansas Winds Hiatus

The Arkansas Winds are currently on hiatus until the first rehearsal of the 2014-2015 season on Monday, October 27, 2014. If you need additional information send an email to info@arkansaswinds.org.

J. Raymond Brandon Kick-Off Concert

The Arkansas Winds has been invited to perform for the J. Raymond Brandon Kick-Off Concert for the Arkansas Bandmasters Association Convention on Wednesday, July 30th at 7:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn City Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Red, White and Blooms

The Arkansas Winds will present a concert on the great lawn of the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks as part of the BGO 2014 Summer Concert Series. Admission is free and the public is invited to bring lawn chairs and picnics. Alcohol is not allowed and the BGO will be selling soft drinks and water.

Silver Jubilee Concert

Come celebrate 25 years with the Arkansas Winds!

The Arkansas Winds Community Concert band cordially invites you to their “Silver Jubilee” 25th anniversary concert. This concert is the highlight of their season, and will feature a brand new piece commissioned for the occasion. The concert will be presented at the Arts Center of the Ozarks in Springdale, Arkansas on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 7:30 pm.

Arkansas Winds at Barnes & Noble

Members of the Arkansas Winds will be performing at a book fair at Barnes & Noble, 4144 North College, Fayetteville, Arkansas from 2:00pm through 9:00pm on Saturday, April 19th, 2014. Barnes & Noble patrons can present the voucher at any store in the country during the book fair and Barnes & Noble will donate a percentage of the voucher sales to the Arkansas Winds. The voucher number, 11309804, can also be used online at bn.com from 4/19/2014 through 4/24/2014.

The scheduled groups are:
2:00pm Trumpet ensemble
2:30pm Assorted soloists/duets
3:00pm Saxtones - Saxophone quartet
4:00pm Woodwind Choir
5:00pm Horn Choir
6:00pm Saxtones - Saxophone quartet
7:00pm Woodwind Choir
8:00pm Horn Choir

The Winds will receive 10% of voucher sales under $5,000, 15% of voucher sales between $5,000 and $10,000 and 20% of voucher sales over $10,000

We will also be promoting our Silver Jubilee concert, scheduled the following Saturday, April 26th, by handing out flyers.

Winter Escape Concert

Got the winter blues? Come get away with the Arkansas Winds Community Concert Band as we present “Winter Escape”, the second concert of our 25th Silver Jubilee season, on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 7:30 pm. The concert will be in the Central Activities Center at the Central United Methodist Church, 6 W. Dickson St., Fayetteville, Arkansas. Admission for the concert is free and will feature several small ensembles from within the Winds. The ensembles scheduled are a woodwind choir, saxophone quartet, f horn nonet, trumpet ensemble and percussion ensemble.

February 3rd rehearsal cancelled

Due to the weather and condition of the roads, tonight's rehearsal will be cancelled. Please make sure you're practicing on your own to maintain your breath support and lip strength. From this week we will have 3 rehearsals and a dress rehearsal before the March 1st concert.
